Students and pupils from various primary and secondary schools are afforded excursion opportunities to explore our facilities and tour our vessels. This initiative aims to cultivate their interest in maritime professions, offering them invaluable insights through interactive sessions with our staff.
In a collaborative effort with the Onne Community in Rivers State, our recent CSR endeavor focused on enlightening secondary school students on the vast career opportunities within the maritime sector. With over 100 students from 5 schools in attendance, our team, alongside dedicated cadets, engaged these young minds, providing insights into the maritime industry and its potential pathways to a seafaring career. This initiative, made possible through the partnership with the Leadership of Onne Youth Congress, not only ignited the students’ interest but also fostered a sense of empowerment and aspiration for their future endeavors.
Each year, we provide scholarship opportunities to one outstanding student from each of our host communities to study maritime courses at the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron. Upon completion, these scholars are inducted into the Starzs cadetship training scheme, fostering their professional growth and development.
We actively support our host communities in achieving their key objectives while also fostering a positive operational environment for Starzs. Through these efforts, we are able to make meaningful impact to the well-being and prosperity of our host communities, creating lasting positive impacts.
